Montana's oldest standing steakhouse established in 1904

Montana is a place where strangers are friends, where a handshake means something and a Chef spends time sourcing great meats and chops.

Did you know?

  • The Mint Café and Bar located at 27 East Main, Belgrade, Montana is a privately owned Montana styled steakhouse. As part of a greater history of Mint locations around the state it is our mission to embrace the old while offering some modern culinary twists. Simply stated, you will get great steaks and so much more at The Mint.
  • The Mint location’s in Montana were built in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s near railroad yards and depots. The Mints are where railroad workers and miners took paychecks to be cashed each week and often spent their money on food and fun. The Mints were known as a “home away from home” and that integrity is something we passionately embrace. We make it a policy to have “no policy.” Our great staff will say “yes” to all reasonable and even the most insane of requests.
  • The Kitchen is open during all hours of operations. Kids get natural food options and we hope your family becomes part of our family.

We strive to support and serve local and small regional businesses

With sixteen craft beers on draught, we strive to support local and regional breweries that take pride in what they produce. Look for a nice selection of 12oz to 22oz bottled beers and the introduction of Half-Yard Glassware to our draft program. Further, our meats are now Montana based, USDA choice. Depending on the season and certain demands, we also strive to source produce locally. Finally, we are big supporters of small business and not only trade but do business with our neighbors.
