When our chef Jordan and Stephanie, his fiancee ,were traveling in Europe during the summer of 2010, they discovered a place in Brussels ( not only the capitol of Belgium, but the mussel Capitol of the world), that served fresh mussels by the 1/2 pound (usually a dozen or so depending on size). They offered a choice of three sauces and were served with piping hot fresh cut fries. The idea of duplicating that idea so appealed to us that we decided to try the same approach at the Mint. We are offering your choice of three sauces including a Thai curry, a an Italian Marinara with fennel sausage, and of course the classic white wine and butter. They are all accompanied by our hot and crisp house made potato chips with Parmesan. If you are a fan of fresh steamed mussels as are we, I know you will love this dish and we are really excited to bring to you. This all starts on Thursday night October 13th.
